Jose L. Lorenzo
Education
Jose L. Lorenzo earned his Juris Doctor degree from the St. Thomas University School of Law. He graduated magna cum laude as class valedictorian and was the recipient of scholastic achievement awards in the areas of Income Taxation, Estate and Gift Tax, Corporate Tax, Taxation of International Transactions and Real Estate Transactions. He earned his undergraduate degree in Professional Studies from Barry University. Prior to commencing his career as an attorney, Mr. Lorenzo worked for nearly a decade in the South Florida banking industry. He served as Vice President of a Miami-based financial institution with primary responsibility for a large international and professional client base.
Bar Admissions & Memberships
Mr. Lorenzo is admitted to practice law in the State of Florida and is a current member of the Florida Bar’s Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section. As an estate planning professional, Mr. Lorenzo is often also called upon to assist groups seeking to fund civic and community activities through charitable and other planned giving contributions. Mr. Lorenzo also enjoys presenting educational programs for other estate planning and financial services professionals through seminars and continuing education programs. The goal of these programs is to help professionals learn to identify and address their client’s estate planning needs. For almost three decades, Mr. Lorenzo has devoted a substantial portion of his practice to real property transactions. His clients include developers, builder and purchasers of single family homes and commercial properties throughout southeast Florida, with an emphasis on the luxury and waterfront markets.
